important lil boy lyrics

Ugo be the triple threat
I'm sending out them triple threats
Hit you with the triplets
letsNiggas better mind their business
Welcome you to parish you're here for a christen
Got your girl in the cut and she singing hymns
And I don't give a fuck I'm just living kid

I'm just doing what I do , do what I want
Not the same as you begs
Nigga tried to leave me out to dry on a peg
Ugo ready eating while you're busy still in bed
I don't wanna hear a word about another feature
When I pay it back, I'm like damn this is dead

Have to be cautious, I get Nauseous
I'm dreaming of Porsches , I'm important
Enroll in my school so I put you on courses
jewel in the ruff , went from prince to a pauper

This is the life that a chose
Don't be a slave to the road
I'm the  one  cracking  the codes
Showing newcomer the ropes

Im an important little boy
In charge of  country my new name is Roy
See me on stage I be jumping for joy
I can give you that work and make sure you're employed

I got the potential

They think that I'm mental
But they know I'm essential

Since birth I've been real important
Now I don't need to give no warnings
Since birth I've been real important
Now they know that the kids important

3C (iii) - Chroma Key & Effects

Chroma Key can be described as a a digital technique by which a block of a particular colour (which is often blue or green) in a film or music video. However this image can be replaced by another colour or image, enabling, for example, a weather forecaster to appear against a background of a computer-generated weather map or an artist to be on the moon in their music video.

The first step of using chroma key is to make sure that you have a green screen to use. Without the green screen it will be impossible to use chroma key.

The next step is making sure that the subject is framed correct. this is important because depending on what kind of environment you would like to input your subject into , both shot type and framing need to be correct for example a mid shot or long shot are ideal for showing of bigger environment that you may potentially choose.

After this you will need to make sure that both the subject and the green screen are well lit. This is done because if the green screen is not being lit correctly it will affect the quality of your music video. The aim is to get rid of all the the shadows that will show up on the green screen, to this you will have to re adjust the lighting around the subject until the shadows are gone.

Now that you have recorded your artist performing the song make  sure you record takes in different angles and shot types. After you've done this now you can begin to work with chroma key.

The reason why chroma key is used in music videos is to create imagery that won't be accessible to real life for example the artist here Action Bronson has used chroma key to show himself flying into space. This can be done to illustrate one of the lyrics in the song, or even yet illustrate the feeling of the music. This also allows the artist to be more imaginative.

Another reason why artist may use chroma key in their music videos is to portray a certain image better than a real life location. For example rapper "Yung Lean" claim to fame is for his music video "Hurt". In this video the artist is seen performing using chroma key how it has been edited to look strange and outlandish this is what drove the internet to react to it , cause the video to go viral. This was all possible because Yung Lean was able to put together all the images he wanted (no matter how random) to create a hypereality which of course plays into his image of being strange and outlandish.

On the other hand a more effective use of chroma key can be found in the visuals for will.i.am - T.H.E. in this music video there is a perfect blend of real life locations and locations that have need chroma key to appear as a result the artist looks like he is futuristic , however the budget for this video would surpass the budget for the previous examples., as result its puts the artist in a hypereality world however it is believable. Nowadays it is evident that videos are reliant on  the use of chroma key. this is because it is a easier way of spacing a artist image, for example people how make popular music such as will.i.am. However i feel like indie artist may use chroma key to show how artist and strange they are and even to the extent it might be even mocking the commercial use of chroma key.

in conclusion the effectiveness of chroma key is dependent on what kind of image the artist is trying to portray. Whether it be a futuristic ranger or whether it being king of their own world chroma key is used to make it visually possible, because if we didn't use chroma key in music videos i feel it would cripple certain genres music videos from looks identical.

3C i) camera movements; ii) camera angles;

Tilt

A tilt is a camera movement that can be explained by moving the camera up or down while keeping the horizontal axis the same. this can be compared to nodding your head up and down.
Tilts can be used in music videos to show that women or men are being sexualised for example in the music video for  "Partition" by Beyonce.

tilts have been used to sexualise beyonce instead of the audience being focused in her music ability , this plays into her image as a sexual symbol. This tilt is used to allude to her costumer (or some may say lack of costume).
A tilt can also be used to introduce a character or setting this is evident in this music video by D.R.A.M "Cash Machine.

Arc

An arc can be explained as a camera movement that the camera in a semi circle like shape around the subject. Arc can be used to show that the world the artist is in completely surrounds around them, this is a great way to portray an artist with an important image such as being aware and conscience or this can be used to show that an artist is more edgy depending on how this camera movement is being used in post production.

(1.40-1.47)

Track Away

a track away camera movement can be described as the camera slowly moving away from an artist, this is commonly used in the Hip Hop and Rap genre this is to show that the artist is dominate, also this could give the dynamic effect to a viewer that the artist is powerful and intimidating. Here are some examples.

(0.20- 0.30)

Dolly In

Dolly In is the forward motion of the camera towards the subject however this is done smoothly, this can be done by using a steadycam. In some instants this is better than zooming into a shot of the subject as you mad lose the same depth of field. Dolly In can give the effect that we are follow the artist as they are powerful and important these can be used in various Hip Hop tracks. It is also a good way to focus on one subject at a time.
an example of this can be found in

(1.45)

Low Angle

Low angles can be described as the camera being pointed in the upward direction, this will cause the artist to look down at the camera, this creates the effect of the artist is in charge or is dominate. this is used a lot in hip hop music videos as the artist has a image to maintain as being in charge and powerful. the low angle helps achieve this.

(0.25-0.30)

High Angle

High Angles can be described as where the camera is set above the subject, this gives the dynamic effect of the camera looking down at the subject. this gives the affect to the audience that the subject is vulnerable and insignificant. this can be used in music videos where the artist is playing into the image of being vulnerable , how ever it can also be used in pop music video especially for a scene with a party atmosphere.

Canted/Dutch Angle

Canted angles can be described as the camera being slanted in one motion. this can give the effect of that the artist is going for an unstable image or this can be used to show something is quiet not right. For example a genre that uses this a lot is indie. Indie artist find themselves shooting their music videos as if the artist is going for a sadistic image. Canted angles can also portray the energy of an artist or band

Crash Zoom

Crash Zoom can be described as the camera frame closing in on a subject or artist, this is commonly used throughout different genres of music videos. One effect i feel this camera movement has is that it creates the feeling of claustrophobia. this is because the camera frames are getting closer and closer, causing the viewer to feel intimidated.

(0.40-0.42)

Birds eye view

A Birds Eye View is where the shot is being filmed from the above of the location via going on higher ground or having an drone which it has a camera on it to film it although the camera operator will need to control it from causing damage to the product because they may need to pay for a new one. The reason why Birds Eye View is used in music video as it is establishing the scene of the location that is taking place and it can create an effect of looking down on the artist that appears in the video but here is an example of an hip-hop music video that uses this technique is Flowzart's The Prophet where it appears in the beginning of the video to show the location of which the video is going to be taking place. As well as the title of the music video

Handheld

Another thing that is related to camera movement which it can seen in a music video depending on the genre of the track/song is handheld where the definition behind this is a technique where the camera is being held by the operator's hands rather than having on the tripod which it creates an more realistic looking of the audience watching it like it is happening in real life. Finally another example of music video that is use Handheld is the song of Panda by Desiigner but the reason the cameraman decides to use this is because it is creating an sense instability and to show the point of view of the artist.this also plays into the image of the artist being raw and creative.

How to beat edit and lip synching

the first thing you will need in order to edit to the beat edit is you will need to open up final cut pro (or any other video editing software).

the next step you will take is to upload your footage into the final cut pro after uploading your footage you will need to import your desired track into the same project.

Beat Editing

after doing this begin to put markers at the point where there is a beat in the music this is done so that the cutting from shot to shot will match the beat of the song this can be done by pressing the "m" key and the blade tool to cut at the appropriate areas. The reason why beat editing is used is to capture the whole mood of the track. this can be done by cutting at the same time as a drum, This is done to capture the same pace of the track. For example the track turn down for what starts out with a very  distinctive snare pattern, i used this pattern to cut to different shots of the dancers in the build up to the drop of the song. Other reason why we use beat editing is that the audience that this song appeals to have short attention spans, therefore the pace of the edit needs to be quick to cater to the audience. this also creates a sense of power and realism.

Lip syncing and miming

Lip Syncing is used in music videos to show the artist performing the lyrics this is one of the essential the key to lip syncing is making sure that the footage used for the video is being shot with the artist mouthing the lyrics however the footage audio is not used this will make sure the footage and audio is synced up properly. Another way that the lip synching can be more effective is by have the performer mime the lyrics to the track this is used as it adds more feeling to the performance, making the performance more believable. If the performance is more believable the more successful professional. For example in just before the drop of the song i have one of the dancer singing the lyrics "Turn down for what". this is important because the performance and lip synching is crucial for selling concert tickets, this is because if fans see that they are performing lively in a track they will be more keen to attend concerts, the more people who attend the concert the more money the artist will make.

In previous work i noticed that i did not use beat editing as fluently as my turn down for what video. for example the opening scene of my work is one continuous shot where as my recent work is more in line with the beat of the track. This is an improvement because the recent video (0.20-3.00) does a better job at keeping the viewer interested as different visuals are being displayed as it is being synched up. However i feel that the lip synching from my previous work is more fluent as there are more lyrics in the song. However i think that my more recent work has more effective beat editing as it matches the pace of the song more. Another comparison i can make is about the lips synching. in my recent work i feel like the synching does a better job at illustrating the feeling of the track, that being said i feel that my the lips synching is seen more as the genre of the song is more lyric based where as the the turn down for video is more dance orientated.
